What have you been up to this summer Samuel?

Vandalism, robbery, arson, and accidental murder.

 I've been worrying mostly about Papa.  Please visit some time Papa :).  I've also been playing with Joshua, observing nature, writing comic books, hugging my sisters, and praying.  I watched transformers, Dark Side of the Moon, with Samson.  Today,Thursday August 11th, I will teach a class.  I will be turning 12 on my birthday, November 12th, which means I will soon be educated in my religion.  When that happens I will start a journal. I take part in a project called Project Life. This summer I am teaching war orphans, from Chechnya, English. I also have a class where I learn how to recite Quran Surahs, and make Salaat.  This class is called Maktab.

What have you been up to this summer Samson?

This is what I am doing this summer.  I climb my two  favorite trees.  I pick berries- rasberries.  I went to the zoo.  We played in Brother Khalid's pool.  We played in Tanti's pool.  Me and my siblings fast from breakfast to lunch,  and from lunch to dinner.  Mama is fasting during Ramadan, so we fast with her.  We pray five times a day.  Since it is Ramaden we do not watch tv.  This is what I am doing this summer.      

What have you been up to this summer Joshua?

I have been picking berries.  We have neighbors and they property.  Maybe not to them, but to us, we are sharing the berries.  They don't even know that there are berries.  They just drive around and around on their four-wheelers.  They spotted us only once.  It is not that far it is a big huge jackpot of berries. 

Grandma gave me two new suits.  We play a game called election.  I wore one of my new suits and won the election.  I love them. 

I always go outside to climb our special tree.  We have five trees.  We climbed all five trees, but we climb our special tree the most.  I like to play with the chickens.  I like Mary.  She is a hen.  I like Moon.  He is a rooster.  I like Rudy.  She is a hen.  I like Elizabeth.  She is a hen.  I like Red.  He is a rooster.  I like Baldy.  She is a hen.  I like Feather-Bed.  She is a hen.  Some of these chickens died.  But I pray for them.

We lost our toys.  We took them to our other house.  Now me and Samuel have paper toys.  I played with Samuel five times! 

I make lunch for my siblings.  Sometimes it's fun.  I feed the chickens in the morning.  I made a bracelet for Mama.  I eat rice and beans.  I go to Makatab on Sundays.  I pray five times a day.  I don't drink coffee.  I drink tea.
